Our Mission
CA School Calendar exists to save California families, caregivers, students, and educators time. We take school district calendar data, often spread across PDFs and district website pages, and organize it into a clean, mobile-friendly format that is easy to browse, print, and subscribe to.
What We Cover
We compile school calendar data for 110 California school districts, including many of the state's largest and most-searched districts such as Los Angeles Unified, San Diego Unified, Fresno Unified, and San Francisco Unified. For each district, we provide:
- Month-by-month calendar grids with holidays, breaks, and no-school dates
- Key date tables for first day, last day, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and teacher planning days
- Downloadable iCal (.ics) files for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and other calendar apps
- Printable PDF calendars for home planning
- District-specific planning notes, FAQs, and links back to official calendar sources
How We Work
Our calendar pages are compiled from public school district calendar pages, board-approved calendar documents, and district-published PDF files. Each district page links back to an official source whenever one is available, so families can verify late changes before making travel, childcare, or attendance decisions.
Most pages on the site are marked Official when they are based on district-published calendar materials. If a future school year is not yet officially released, the page is labeled Projected and explained on the page itself; projected dates are replaced after official district materials are published.
Corrections and Updates
School calendars can change after publication because of board revisions, emergency closures, weather events, labor agreements, or state requirements. If you notice a mismatch, send the district name, school year, page URL, and official source link through the contact page. We review correction requests against district materials before updating the site.
Independence
CA School Calendar is an independent, privately operated informational website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any California school district, the California Department of Education, or any government agency. Always verify critical dates with your local school district.
